Meal Prep
The #1 reason my healthy eating habits are successful is because of meal prep! When I don’t have a meal ready to eat, and I have to order food somewhere my willpower is weak. I have good intentions on ordering something healthy but my taste buds get the best of meal and I order something that sounds delicious instead of healthy. When I meal prep, I always have a healthy meal that I can throw in the microwave and heat up quickly. Plus, I know exactly what is in my food because
Fat burners are a waste of money
Fat burners, weight loss pills, shakes, bars, wraps and anything else that promises a quick result with little to no effort from you is a waste of money. If you see anything that says lose weight without diet and exercise, then you should run the other way. These people get very clever with their marketing and they use your pain points as a tactic to get you to buy their product. There are also individuals who are an affiliate to these places, they push these products on you
Start now, not tomorrow
I used to be a big procrastinator, I would always tell myself I will do it later, but I never do it. I’m not perfect and I still procrastinate, but I think that I have gotten better at it. I have become more self-aware and I know that when I do start to procrastinate, I will stop myself and just do it. Now, I just do whatever it is and get it done with. I feel a lot more accomplished and proud of myself that I did and now I can move onto something else. I will start tomorrow,
Kitchen clean out
This is a hard one to do, but it will set you up to be successful. Go through your refrigerator, freezer, and pantry looking for any foods that are unhealthy or highly processed. You want to look for chips, breads, sweets, treats, ice cream, candy, TV dinners, pre-made meals in a bag or box etc etc. Remove these items and put them in a box, you can donate them to a family in need or give them to a local charity. After you have removed these items from your kitchen do not buy
Progress not perfection
Don’t try to be perfect all of the time, doing this will only set you up for failure when things don’t go as planned. There are many different things that can go wrong with fitness and nutrition. Trying to be perfect all of the time will only derail your momentum when life does not go as planned. We all know that life never goes exactly the way that we plan it, so why should it be any different with our fitness? If you only focus on perfection, then one un-planned night of ha
Stuck in a rut? Change it up.
If you have ever been in a plateau or found yourself bored while exercising it might be time to change up your routine. It is important to stick with the same workout for a set amount of time, so your body is able to get good at the workout but it’s also important to change up your routine, so you don’t plateau. Doing a new routine will give your body a reason to change and adapt. It will also be something new and exciting if you have become bored with your workout. The level
Have a goal
I think that having a goal is a very good thing to have when you are exercising. It gives you something to aim for and a reason to stay consistent. If you don’t have a goal, then you are just kind of showing up and not really pushing yourself to go to the next level. It is possible for some people to stay consistent and push themselves without having any goal in mind, but I have found that most people including myself need something to work towards. I have had many goals in t
Not feeling like exercising today?
Do it anyways but take it easy! For most people it’s very hard to start exercising especially if you have been sedentary for a while. It’s hard to get that momentum going and if you suddenly stop, then it’s even harder to get it going again. There will be days where you’re tired, sluggish and just don’t feel like exercising but you should do it anyways. You don’t have to do your normal routine if you’re tired, just something light and easy so you stay in the habit of going. Y
Consistency is key
Consistency is key. No matter what diet you follow or exercise routine that you do, consistency is the most important part. You can do the best diet in the world, the one with results from millions of people. However, if you don’t like the food and you don’t follow the diet every day. Then you will not be successful, and you won’t get the same results. The same goes for exercise, if you are not consistent with exercise then you will not see results. So, what do you do? Try al
How is your relationship with food?
This is probably the most important question when it comes to nutrition and the most important thing you should focus on. Whatever diet you follow does not matter if you have a poor relationship with food. It’s just like your personal relationships, you can have good relationships or you can have bad relationships. If you put good food into your body, your body will reward you with feeling good and moving better. On the contrary, if you put bad food into your body your body w
