I am a certified personal trainer based in Houston. I have lived in Houston most of my life and I love it here. There are so many different things to do here and visit, plus we are a huge melting pot of different cultures and ethnicities. I have trained several people in Houston and I absolutely love what I do. I love whenever I am able to see my clients reach their goals, I find it extremely rewarding whenever one of my clients is able to do something they never though was possible before. I love personal training and it is why I set out to create my own image and company.
Personal training has a long list of advantages but unfortunately like all things there are some disadvantages. Personal training is expensive, you are going to spend at least $50 an hour for a good trainer. If you multiply this by 3 times a week then you will easily spend $600 a month on personal training. There is also the schedule, most personal trainers are going to be booked early in the morning and late in the afternoon. Most of the free time is during the middle of the day, and if you work a 9-5 job then there’s no way you can book a session with your trainer. You are also at the mercy of the gym hours, if you can only work out at midnight or 3am then you will probably not be able to find a personal trainer for these odd hours. What if you live 10 miles away or further from the closest gym? This could turn into a very long drive just to work out for an hour or less.
This is where the beauty of online personal training comes into play. It is more affordable and you can train on your own time. You no longer have to check the availability of your favorite personal trainer to see if you can fit into their time slot. They prescribe you the list of workouts they want you to do and you do them on your own. You can track your workouts and then your online personal trainer can monitor them and give you feedback and make any necessary adjustments.
With my online personal training program you will get a smart phone app which has a calendar with your upcoming work outs. The app will remind you every morning you have a work out scheduled and you will also get an email reminder the day of. Inside of the app you will find the workout program I have put together for you based upon your goals and any strengths and weaknesses I found in the consultation. If you are unsure of how the movement for an exercise is to be performed there is a video showing you how to do the movement. You will also be able to log the weight and reps of each workout so I can review it. There is also a cardio tracker as well so this app is not designed just for weights. Inside of the app you will be able to send me messages so we can communicate with each other in case you have any comments or questions.
Online personal training has plenty of benefits but like all things it does have some disadvantages. If you are comfortable around exercise equipment, free weights and you already have a good idea of technique and form then you should give online personal training a try.
