How Tommy Ditched His High Blood Pressure Medication for Good

When Tommy approached me one of his biggest goals was to ditch his high blood pressure medication. When Tommy went to his annual check up his doctor told him his blood pressure was too high and he wanted Tommy to start taking medication to help lower it. This was a huge shock to Tommy and a wake up call. He knew his weight had been slipping over the past several years but he had no idea it was starting to affect his health. Tommy asked his doctor if there was anything else he could do, his doctor told him he needs to start a diet and exercise program and this would help lower his blood pressure. Tommy wanted to try anything possible because he has two young kids and wanted to be around for a very long time. He wanted to be able to play with his kids and ultimately his grand kids. Having high blood pressure simply was not an option for Tommy. Tommy tried a few things on his own but nothing really worked, all he could find on the internet was conflicting information and he had no idea where to start with an exercise program. He even went to a few local gyms but the personal trainers were intimidating and were more like drill sergeants. Tommy needed someone who really understood his struggles and would talk to him and not at him. Tommy searched the Internet and he found my program, while reading through my pages he really liked what he saw and my approach. Tommy sent me an email and we got on the phone for a quick chat. I asked Tommy what his goals were and what he was looking for in my fitness and nutrition coaching program. We had our consultation and I put together a program specifically for Tommy and his goals. Over the next several months Tommy followed my exercise and nutrition program and he effectively lowered his high blood pressure, his doctor told Tommy he no longer needs to take high blood pressure medication anymore and what he was doing is working! What Tommy did was simple, there was no secret, and there was no quick fix pill I subscribed to him. Tommy put in the hard work, he exercised consistently and he made smarter food choices. I had Tommy working out 5 days a week and he ate whole nutritious minimally processed food. Because he wanted to loose some weight we cut back his carbohydrates but not completely. I had Tommy doing resistance training 3 times a week and HIIT cardio twice a week. Most importantly I held Tommy accountable for his actions and choices. Tommy knew that once a week we would get on the phone and talk about how the previous week went, we also communicated daily via text message. Whenever Tommy had any questions at all I was always right there for him. The beauty of all of this is, Tommy and I never trained once in person. Tommy was able to work out on his time, not my time. Whether that was at night or early in the morning. Tommy just pulled out his phone, opened up my app and his work out program was right there with instructional videos. Tommy achieved his goal and I am proud to announce his blood pressure is at near perfect levels and he has not taken any blood pressure medication in several months. Tommy continues his new healthier lifestyle and is very happy where he is at.
