Give yourself permission to quit but promise yourself that you will show up and do the warmup! That sounds contradictory but hear me out. If you are having a hard time exercising and getting yourself to workout then you are not alone, the mere act of going to workout is the hardest part. It’s incredibly easy to have excuses of why you won’t work out today. It’s so much easier to talk yourself out of it rather than getting it done.
So, the next time you are having an internal battle with yourself. Tell yourself that I will go, and I will do the 5-minute warmup, if I’m still not feeling it, then I give myself permission to go home. But, I’m willing to bet that 9 times out of 10 you will end up staying and completing the whole workout.
