Consistency is key
Consistency is key. No matter what diet you follow or exercise routine that you do, consistency is the most important part. You can do the best diet in the world, the one with results from millions of people. However, if you don’t like the food and you don’t follow the diet every day. Then you will not be successful, and you won’t get the same results. The same goes for exercise, if you are not consistent with exercise then you will not see results.
So, what do you do? Try all of them until you find one that works best for you. If none of them work for you, then don’t diet at all! Eat whole, nutritious, minimally processed foods as much as you can and eat smaller portions. Keep experimenting and trying new things until you find a routine that you can do everyday for the rest of your life. Yo yo dieting does not work, you will never make any long-lasting changes if you keep jumping on and off the wagon. This will only cause frustration and disappointment. The only way that you will create change that lasts forever is consistency. So, try all of the different diets and exercise programs out there until you find the one that you fall in love with and can do for the rest of your life.
A good rule of thumb, if you can’t do a diet or exercise program forever, then you may need to choose something else that is more sustainable. Short term programs get you short term results!
