Why Orion

An extension of your community's wellness team

Orion's Fitness is not a directory of instructors or a menu of classes. We are a managed senior wellness partner that recruits, programs and runs it all, so your team gets the results without the workload.

Our story

Orion's Fitness began in 2015 when founder Orion Kester was leading outdoor fitness bootcamps. In 2019 he was invited to teach a Sit and Be Fit class at a retirement community in Kingwood, Texas. That one class changed everything.

He saw how much structured, senior-specific movement meant to residents, and how hard it was for communities to run it consistently on their own. Instructors came and went, classes got cancelled, and activities teams were stretched too thin to keep it going. Orion set out to solve that, not by supplying another instructor, but by taking on the whole program: the people, the scheduling, the coverage and the quality.

Since then, Orion has grown to serve communities across Texas and Oregon, with a simple mission: become the wellness partner senior living communities can count on.

The Orion difference

We handle it. Your residents feel it.

Four things we take fully off your plate.

We Recruit

Senior-focused instructors

We source, vet and train instructors specifically for older adults, then hold them accountable. You never post a job, screen a résumé or scramble to cover a class.

We Program

Programming matched to ability

Every class is built around your residents' mobility and cognition, from seated chair fitness to active pickleball, and adjusted as needs change across independent living, assisted living and memory care.

We Manage

Coverage and consistency

We own the schedule and cover every absence with a trained substitute, so the same reliable faces show up week after week. Classes simply happen, without your team managing any of it.

You Get Results

Participation you can prove

Residents attend more often, your activities team gets hours back, and leadership gets participation reporting that shows the value to families and owners.

Our mission

Stronger residents, more connected communities

Resident wellbeing

Movement that improves strength, balance, confidence and connection.

Less staff burden

We manage the people and logistics so your team can focus on residents.

Measurable results

Participation reporting that shows the value to leadership and families.
